The mutants are facing extermination by a new breed of Sentinels. To save them, Wolverine is sent into the past to get the younger versions of Xavier and Magneto to work together to thwart an assassination plot on the creator of the Sentinel program by Mystique (who is the key to the future Sentinels). How the mutants survive entirely depends on how the past plays out. You can also watch this film on Disney+ (the service itself may not be available on all territories).
